“Everyone can be great… because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

-- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

As part of our dedication to achieving a more active, collaborative participation in the rejuvenation of the earth and supporting those who are interested in the same, we offer a number of opportunities to get involved right here at Wild Earth Stewardship Center! Since we are a new nonprofit based in a rainforest in the tropics with no building infrastructure, we are currently focusing most of our attention and energy on our first year design build competition “Knot in Commons” and we will not officially initiate our community projects or accept interns until year two. Please click here to learn more about the Knot in Commons project.

However, during this time we will be working on the planning stages, coordinating with all the wonderful volunteer advisors, project leaders, community members, and others who are working to help make many of our community projects possible. We need help from advisors, mentors, and partners from many different specialties. We welcome the chance to work with local community-based groups, non-governmental organizations, research and academic institutions, and individuals from all areas of life. If you would like to work with us on a project and serve as an advisor, teacher, mentor, or partner, or just have something to share, contact us at volunteer@wildearthstewardship.org

Throughout the world, there is an abundance of incredibly talented teachers, fantastic ideas, and wonderful, well-intentioned, energetic, hardworking volunteers. There are amazing volunteer-based organizations and grassroots activism happening all around us, needing our help, time, or kindness. When was the last time you volunteered? Doing something for those in need speaks to the heart of the divine in each of us; service work is one of the most rewarding endeavors in life.

“To create a society that encourages and supports love and intimacy, friendship and community, ethical sensitivity and spiritual awareness among people. To change the bottom line. To create the social, spiritual, and psychological conditions that will encourage us to recognize the uniqueness, sanctity, and infinite preciousness of every human being, and to treat them with caring, gentleness, and compassion. To create a society that gives us adequate time and encouragement to develop our inner lives. To create a society that relates to the world and to one another in awe and joy.”
